"Z" Is For Zebra,
The most stylish of creatures,
Each one unique,
With their black and white features.
They look like a horse,
Or maybe an ass,
And just like those two,
They nibble on grass.
Their herds have been hunted,
By man, with his greed,
For skins and for meat,
When there was no need.
Unpredictable in nature,
They often are bred,

The stripes make me feel dizzy,
When I look at them here,
The patterns seem different,
On the face and the rear!
Zebra stripes are contagious,
They are now all the rage,
In fashion and in furnishings,
They now set the stage.
I can't get to Africa,
But when I'm at the zoo,
Spending time with the zebras,
Is a fun thing to do.

I am participating in Jenny Matlock's Alphabe Thursday - a really fun meme!
Check it out and join in. We'll be starting all over again in a couple of weeks
with the letter "A" so, if you missed it last time, here's your chance to get on board
from the beginning!
Yes, they are the most stylish ones in wild life. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and a witty poem! I loved the one with the baby zebra:) Have a nice day!
ReplyDeleteI've always liked zebras. I believe that their stripes are similar to fingerprints....... no two being the same pattern.
ReplyDeleteI don't like the idea of using their skins though.
