  3. Lovely shots. Bees are so important and they may be on the verge of extinction by Colony Collapse disease. How awful that would be.

  16. Okay, you're going to think I'm crazy, but in that first shot, I totally see a face on the top part of the bee; it's a guy in aviator glasses, with a big white mustache, wearing a yellow scarf. Maybe I should go back to bed?

    Kamana -
Thanks...those bees keep flitting around so much, it's hard to photograph them. Just when I have one in focus, he takes off.

    rainfield61 -
I hope you'll like my poetry book. I'm glad you visited my busy bee post.

    Kay L.Davies -
I never heard of this Colony Collapse disease. It would be unbelievable if we lost all our bees...no more of that delectable honey and, if we didn't have cross pollination, how would our flowers survive?

    Ladyfi -
I had never seen that beautiful flower before. It was a tall shrub, growing on the Marin Co side of the Golden Gate Bridge viewing area.

    Poetic Shutterbug -
Have you ever seen that gorgeous purple shrub in the Garden? I've never seen one before and I thought it was so beautiful.

    Oskar -
The bees do look like they have on sweaters!

    Jannie Funster -
The beautiful purple flowers are some sort of tall shrub. I'd never seen them before but they were growing on the Marin County side of the Golden Gate Bridge viewing area. I wish I did know the name.

    Thom -
Weren't those purple flowers beautiful? The bees really seemed to like them!

    cat -
I'm glad you liked my bees!

    Dulce -
I loved those beautiful lavendar flowers and the bees really made them special.

    chubskulit -
Thanks for visiting my bees in their beautiful lavendar shrubbery.

    Sharkbytes (TM) -
I thought that shrub ( growing way taller than me ) was so beautiful - lavendar, with almost silver - the bees sure liked it.

    secret agent woman -
I haven't a clue what that beautiful lavendar shrub was. I've never seen anything like it before anywhere out here. It was growing on the Marin County side of the Golden Gate Bridge viewing area and it was huge, way over my head.

    Icy BC -
I wish I knew the identity of those gorgeous flowers. Have you seen any like them anywhere, Icy?

    Mrs4444 -
Wow, you really looked closely at my photos - but, now that you pointed it at, I can see the guy in the aviator glasses. Too funny.
