Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors - #136 - Pink San Francisco Victorian - July 7, 2014

San Francisco, California, the wonderful "city by the bay," which has been a part of my 
life for nearly forty years now, boasts the most incredible Victorian houses, many
of them with "whimsical windows, delirious doors."  I would often drive around for
several hours, with camera at the ready, snapping pictures, whenever something
wonderful caught my eye.

Here is but one of the incredible houses, referred to as "Painted Ladies."

Sundays in My CIty - More of San Francisco's Painted Ladies - February 17, 2013

After physical therapy,  the other day, I drove around Pacific Heights,shooting a
few of the lovely houses.  This is best done early in the morning, before traffic
starts.  Even after living in the Bay Area nearly 30 years, these houses always 
bring a smile to my face and start my daydreams.

The trees are still pretty bare in February 

I wonder what it costs to heat one of these beautiful ladies

Nce in yellows and browns, with a touch of gold

Smaller but still lovely

This corner home looks like a good house several families

As always,San Francisco has limited parking

Sundays in My City - San Francisco Beauties, #1 - March 20, 2011

I was almost late for my dermatology follow up last Thursday because I kept
stopping en route to take pictures.  I went down Scott Street on the way to
Mt. Zion on Divisadero and, afterwards, I drove home via Castro Street.  I
got quite a few shots for several week's worth of "Sunday in My City."

I came across this beautiful Victorian when driving near Dolores Park in San Francisco. 
I just love the color schemes and gingerbread that graces these "painted ladies."
