India's bazaars are always so full of color, from the produce and fruits sold to the lovely
ladies in saris, buying or selling. This was taken in the wonderful city of Jaipur in
Rajasthan where I lived five months last year. I just returned from a wonderful five
days there, renewing friendships and enjoying "the Pink City".

ReplyDeleteSince my 21 year forensic nursing job in San Francisco ended in Feb 2009 - at the age o 64+, I was quite depressed. Having cruised 80 times with Royal Caribbean, I fell in love with so many of their wonderful crew - so many Indians. I have been to India three times since Dec 2011 - four months in Mumbai - at the home of a former RCCL bartender and his wife, 5 months in Jaipur, and now 6 months in Mumbai. In spite of overwhelming poverty - & corruption in many sectors, it is still an amazing country.
DeleteYou should try and see the movie "Chennai Express" you will be amazed by the colors in it.
ReplyDeleteIn San Francisco, I used to see a Hollywood movie almost every day! The problem, in India, is that there are no English subtitles like on my Netflix films back home.
DeleteColorful is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely so - color makes everything seem bright. Your photographs are often so beautifully colorful. Of course, my favorite of all is your Ganesha.
DeleteCertainly would be unlikely to get that colorful a photo in a market in the US
ReplyDeleteI love your photographs!! They make me so much want to return to India. Beautiful sunny pic of the woman. And is that the Rambagh Palace/Hotel?!!! I spent one night there and will never forget it!!! It was a special treat on our son's 10th birthday. We stayed in little cheap hotels mostly:)
