Ruby Tuesday - Hang Gliding Finale - July 26, 2011

This ends my hang gliding series of photos for the time being.  I see these human birds
very frequently, though, since they soar close to my neighborhood and on the highway
I frequently travel.  I want to get closer to them one of these days, to their take of and
landing site.  I should get much better photos then and, perhaps, I can even talk to these
folks who enjoy this sport so much!

I am participating in Ruby Tuesday  - check out the site and add
your own red post to join in the fun!

    PRAISE FOR RED

What is there about the color red
That makes me want to stand on my head,
And give a loud shout or two of praise
For crimson tints that brighten my days?

I haven't a doubt in the world that you and your hubby will be up there one day hang gliding! It seems just your kind of adventure!

I cannot believe how close to each other these guys are. It seems like they would be bumping into each other but, thus far, I've never seen any accidents happen.

I'm sure there must be places in India where people hang glide. It is really an expensive hobby, though - not that I would indulge in it at my age.

The closest I came to this in my life was parasailing in Puerto Vallarta and two hot air balloon rides over Napa Valley. I am actually very afraid of open heights.

I am more than content to just watch the hang gliders from my comfortable perch on the ground!
