Perils in Paradise - Flash 55 Friday, 6-4-10

Perils in Paradise - Flash 55 Friday, 6-4-10

The steel band played as the sun set into the Caribbean. He offered to buy the dark beauty another drink. While he was gone, she slipped a “roofie” into his martini. Later, as he lay on the beach, unresponsive, she took all the cash from his wallet.

“One more night and the rent is paid!”

If you want to participate in  Flash 55 Friday, go and see Mr. G-Man

Only recently I came across a biography, which could have been written by this woman; in her "other life" she did study Mathematics and in the end became a mother as well.
A piece very close to reality, indeed. Please have a wonderful start into the weekend.

  12. I don't know why, but I found this little story ironically funny. Actually, it seems that a few years ago there were some incidents in the news around here where guys would do this to their dates. Maybe I'm thinking of it as a bit of revenge.

  13. John's comments - yes, sounds like quick work to get the rent paid! Of course, at $2325/month, I'd be out every night of the week!

  15. G-Man - some things, it's best not to remember! Perhaps it's best not to carry your money in your wallet.

  17. Alice Audrey - it's funny, I was a sexual assault nurse examiner for 21 years, and I only saw a couple of instances of drug facilitated sexual assault done on males - and then it was by MALES!

  18. betchai - am having fun with the camera...especially on the outings with Jo. It's more fun than being alone!

  19. ρομπερτ - Robert, in my life as a forensic nurse, I often saw many case where drugs were used in assaults. Very sad stories, really. Not like this fictitious tale.

  21. clean and crazy - yes, it does seem like turn about is fair play...though, as a forensic RN for 21 years, none of it was funny at all...we didn't see many men, though, who were victims of this sort of thing...just far too many women!!!

  25. Ratty - in my work as a forensic nurse, I saw many rape victims ( most often women, rarely men ) who were assaulted in this manner. Drugs were put in their drinks and they had absolutely no recall of what happened. Pretty scary stuff.
