Friday Flash 55 - Happy Valentine's Day - February 11, 201

I haven't got a sweetheart,
But I'm sending love your way,
And hope you have great plans,
To celebrate this special day.

Valentine's should be romantic,
Time for love and tender thought,
But it doesn't need to be,
A show of pricey things you bought.

I am very sure - the gift of love means more!

I am participating in Mr. KnowItAll's Friday Flash 55!

Check it out and join in the fun!

  4. I like your thoughts on Valentine's Day. The card and candy companies, the restaurants and the like all would like to think differently, but love is what it's all about. Although this one was appropriate, I've got a Valentine post coming out on Monday. Thanks for the visit!

  6. Yep. The pricey things don't mean anything in and of themselves. It's only when they are used to say "I love you" that they are worthy.

How lovely to hear that you and your Valentine celebrate Valentine's every day of the year! You are a true romantic! I think that's part of being French, don't you?

    Josep -
So nice to have you visit. I trust all is well in Barcelona and I hope you papa is responding well to treatment.

    Larry -
I guess a lot of people will celebrate Valentine's this weekend since Monday is a work day.

    Linda -
I'll try to do something for Valentine's with my Monday Mellow Yellow post! I'll look for yours as well.

    G-Man -
You're a sweetheart for stopping by! How about being my Valentine??

    Alice Audrey -
Given for show only, those expensive gifts are meaningless - though, I suppose, they might come in handy in hard times!

    Brian Miller -
I don't anticipate doing anything too special for Valentine's...maybe dinner in San Francisco at my favorite Thai restaurant - the owners are like my own family.

    moondustwriter -
You are so nice and you say such sweet things. You are right, though, I may not have a Valentine but I do have wonderful friends.

    Margaret -
Well, yes, somtimes, money can be a nice asset.

    Me -
Your comment gave me a good laugh. Sometimes husbands just don't seem to get it, do they?
