Indigo
It is one of the rainbow's colors,
Between violet and deep blue,
In truth,it runs the gamut,
Of many a varying hue.
It's the blue of a sky at midnight,
And a bird who carries the name,
Since ancient times in India,
Indigo dye achieved greatest fame.

Treasured by earliest civilizations,
From early Egypt to present day man.

Standing out on the forest floor,
They are an edible variety,
If you choose to go out and explore.

Indigo is the color of infinity,
It is the symbol of wisdom, too,
Indigo is for introspection,
To figure out what you need to do.
