Shadow Shot Sunday 2 - Winter Shadows in My West Sacramento, California Neighborhood - January 25, 2015
It's been down to freezing during the winter months but the days warm up to the 50's. The trees are still bare and their
naked branches make interesting shadows on our bright
sunny afternoons.

Jaipur Cow - November 28, 2014
Cows wander the streets freely in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. This fellow seemed to be taking a rest against this orange brick wall.

Shadow Shot Sunday 2 - Bringing Sunshine to Dispel Shadows Wherever She Goes - October 26, 2014
This precious little imp,
With eyes of brightest blue,
And wisps of golden hair,
Isn't sure what shadows do.
She runs to chase then down,
But they just get in the way,
They're glued at hands and feet,
And follow her at play.
The shadows quickly dissipate,
Lasting just awhile,
For rivaling the sunshine,
Is my lovely grandchild's smile!!!

Shadow Shot Sunday 2 - Tree Shadows on a Jaipur Pig - October 20, 2013
44 DAYS LEFT IN INDIA!
This rather dusty, dirty Jaipur pig is pretty much camouflaged by the stone
fence and the leaf shadows of the tree above. It is clear, however, that she
must have given birth to a litter pretty recently though I didn't see any little
piggies around.

Shadow Shot Sunday 2 - Vegetable Seller in Shadow at Indian Market - August 11, 2013
Here in Mumbai, in the height of monsoon season, one must act quickly to
find a sunny moment when shadows are cast. Such was my luck, one
afternoon, when I was at the bazaar in search of vegetables for dinner.

Shadow Shot Sunday 2 - Jaipur Pig - October 21, 2012
While out riding in an auto-rickshaw yesterday, I came across a whole group of piggies
of every size. This one was perfect for shadow shot, under the trees, with the leaf
shadows on her.

Shadow Shot Sunday 2 - Jaipur Cows Resting in the Shade - February 19, 2012
A beloved Indian friend and fellow blogger gets a bit annoyed at me when I
post pictures of cows or elephants and the like. He tells me I am not showing
the true beauty of India and I am giving people a distorted view and feeding
in to stereotypes. Well, I have to disagree with him. I absolutely love India
and will post pictures of all that I see, including the amazing temples and
their ancient history, the interesting festival, the beautiful faces of the
people, the interesting modes of transportation, AND the animals. I, for
one, love the cows - their sweet gentle faces and so I take many pictures of
them. I guess, having spent several years of my childhood on a farm, I am
drawn to these creatures.
So, dear blogging friend, forgive me, but, for two days in a row, my post
is about cows. I post it with love...of India, its beauty and its creatures, and
of you.
