Shadow Shot Sunday - San Francisco Botanical Garden Shadows - September 5, 2010

My visit to San Francisco's wonderful Botanical Garden two weeks ago has been a
wonderful source of photos for several recent posts.  I even got some nice shadow shots
that day.

  19. I've just dropped over from Rosaria's sixtyfivewhatnow.

You are indeed a SANE RN, who has learned to love and embrace her "shadow side," though might be a bit squirrel-ly. (Love the picture of the little critter; looks like the one who "cleans up" under our bird feeders.

So happy to see you here. I'm thinking of you and Harry and wish that all goes well.

    Dulce -
I try to keep a watchful eye these days for shadows. Funny, how observant you become once you've started blogging!

I'm happy you enjoyed my shadow shots!

    Larry -
I don't always participate in Shadow Shots but, when I've seen some nice shadows, I definitely post them. Sometimes you see some really fabulous ones!

I'm so glad you liked these shadow shots. Sometimes I just luck out.

    Cher -
I only have one book published. My poetry book, "Life's Journeys, Volume 1" - as long as that one took me, I'll be 120 before a second one comes out!!

    Marjorie (Molly) -
San Francisco's Botanical Gardens is definately a sanctuary for squirrel photos. They are always there in swarms looking for handouts!

    Silvia K -
I didn't even notice how wonderful the squirrel's tail was for shadow shots till I was going through the pictures again! Amazing.

    ladyfi -
Well, the squirrel seems to be the big winner in terms of popularity in my shadow shots!

I didn't know you guys didn't have squirrels. I bet Zebby would give them a good chase if you did. Cats are always chasing them.

    Annie -
Well, you will definitely enjoy a live Gardens visit though they are nice to see on Facebook as well.

    Irredento Urbanita -
I'm afraid I'd need a lot more photos to have the album be "The Kingdom of Shadows" - I do have a lot more shadow shots scattered here and there that I think I should put all in the same place.

    Tes -
It's funny, all those squirrels look exactly alike. There must have been fifty out and about that way but none of them seem to have any individual charateristics. I guess their sweethearts must be able to tell the difference!

    Linnea W -
Well, the holiday weekend has almost come to an end. I stayed pretty close to home. Went to a wedding and to hear some jazz yesterday but, otherwise, it was quiet for me.

    Catherine -
When I took the photograph of the squirrel, I didn't even notice the shadows the tail created. It was only when I went back through the photographs, I noticed it.

    chubskulit -
Glad you like my shadow shot offerings this week. It's been awhile since I've done them.

    Shiju Sugunan -
I'm most delighted that you liked my shadows. Sometimes it's hard to keep up with everything on these blogs.

    ruthi -
Actually, Poetic Shutterbug and I provided the lunch. She brought frosted flakes.

    Rob-bear -
It's so nice to have you visit. Rosaria is wonderful, isn't she? I suppose it's a good thing to have the squirrels clean up under your bird feeder as long as they're not helping themselves to everything in it.
