Hey Carmen, LOVELY photos. That's quite a talent with close ups you have. I noticed you were promoting your book on Greensboro Daily Photo. Do you have a link to Greensboro?
Shiju Sugunan - Honestly, I don't even know the name of this flower. My friend, Jo ( aka Poetic Shutterbug ) and I looked for the name tag but it was missing. It was in an area isolated with just succulents or cacti so I'm not sure that it was either.
fickleinpink - Thanks for stopping by - glad you liked these yellow flowers...new plant for me.
imriz - It's always nice to have you visit and I'm so happy you enjoy my postings.
Tes, I wish I knew the name of these blooms. I've never seen them before and only at the Botanical Gardens! Yes, the little bee was a bonus.
Icy BC - I really loved these flowers. Instantly thought, "Perfect for Mellow Yellow!"
ruthi - Sad to say, there was no plaque identifying this flower and I haven't a clue to its identity!
Rajesh - I think these yellow flowers are beauties but I don't know what they are or what country from which they originate.
Welshcakes Limoncello - I wish I had a whole yard full of these anonymous blooms!
secret agent woman - I may never learn the name of this incredibly beautiful yellow flower. Either the name plate had fallen off or it never had one. Unless someone can clear up they mystery, it will remain nameless.
GreensboroDailyPhoto - No, I hae no link to Greensboro...other than that I'm originally from Columbus, GA and, in my youth, I drove through Greensboro several times. I've been in the San Francisco area nearly 33 years now.
Sharkbytes (TM) - I can't swear this flower is only on the West Coast. I've never seen it before anywhere else, though...but I haven't seen it outside the Botanical Garden.
lakeviewer - I think that flower is lovely. Nice weekend, Rosaria...a wedding and some jazz.
A bit of googling helped me identifying this flower. It is called "Yellow Torch Lily". You can find more information by following this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torch_lily
