"B" is For Buttocks - Alphabe Thursday - "B" Is For Buttocks - September 30, 2010

"B" is For Buttocks - Alphabe Thursday - September 30, 2010

B is for one’s buttocks,
I would not be so crass,
Being the Southern belle I am,
I’d never call them a*%#!

As an R.N. for four decades,
I’ve used them to give injections,
The gluteus maximus muscle,
Is best for preventing infections!

Those little chubby baby cheeks,
Are just the cutest thing,
It’s only when we’re aging,
We see what cellulite can bring!

If only we’d manage to exercise,
And give ourselves a push,
The pounds would not accumulate,
Upon one’s lovely tush!

  2. Oh you make me laugh! I can't believe this photo is of the Pacific Coast- it looks just like the West Coast of Ireland. Except you were probably a lot warmer!

I'm happy I made you a laugh. I can't believe in all my years of travel, I never made it to Ireland...and I'm Irish!

    La -
It seems like a lot of folks got a smile about my poetic efforts for this "B" post.

    Jackie -
This was a fun poem to write. Some are far too serious.

    Rocky Mountain Woman -
I agree, little baby butts are indeed so pinchable. You were brave to let your grandson
go diaperless. My kids, inevitably, peed as soon as theirs was off!

    Sue -
I think that poem was more fun that my one about "Liver and Onions."

    Viki -
I am happy that I helped you have a laugh today!

Glad you liked my poem...and my header. It's a spot just a few miles from my house. I go there often, it's so breathtaking.

    Thom -
I enjoyed writing this poem and I am so glad you got a kick out of it, too.

    Icy BC -

I guess, writing poems like this, I'll never rival the great poets!!

My sons just rolled their eyes when I read this poem to them.

It's so good to see you back. I have really missed you. I know I should be writing love poems and not stuff about buttocks but that's just me. Glad you had a laugh...and I hope you are getting better, day by day.
