Brenda's Photo Challenge

 Lunch at Lulu's

I already did my Saturday blog post on Camera Critters but I didn't want to miss out on
the photo essay at The Brenda Photo Challenge so I'm doing a second post.  These
pictures were take a couple of weekends ago when my son and I and his girlfriend,
Katie, were taken out to lunch at Lulu's, a well known San Francisco restaurant
( the three of us had never been there before ) but Katie's mom, Joan, who lives in
San Diego has .  We had a great time.  It's one of those places that is packed for
lunch during the week but we had it almost to ourselves late on Sunday afternoon.

We ended up ordering a number of dishes and sharing them all.  They were all really
good - we had two salads, We had two salads - one argula with heirloom tomatoes,
cucumbers & tomatoes and the other was a watermelon, roasted beet & chevre. The
spicy prawn pizza with sun dried tomatoes and basil pesto was my favorite. We also
had roasted mussels with drawn butter and roasted garlic and goat cheese ravioli with
sun dried potatoes and pine nuts. We were far too full for dessert but our first course,
doughnuts with meyer lemon curd more than made up for that!

That was my real bloody mary at Lulu's but, of
course, the actual glass wasn't that large...it just looks that way in the picture. It was a great drink, though!

    Donna -
You absolutely must visit San Francisco one of these days. It's a great city. Jeremy and Katie are cute together...tall - he's 6'4" and she's 6'2" - she was a heptahlete at Cal Poly and he was a decathlete. They've got so much in common.

    Out on the prairie -
I always like sharing unless they have a meal that includes mutliple different dishes as some of the Asian restaurants do.

There isn't much better than good food, good wine and good friends!!

It was a fun day. I am so glad you like my

was just enchanted. I have ben back so many times since.

There are so many great places to eat in San
Francisco. Unfortunately, since my job of 21 years, as a forensic nurse for the city ended in the massive budget cuts 18 months ago and I retired, I'm afraid I won't be trying all the other places on my list.

    Sharkbytes (TM)-
I must admit, I LOVE eating out. If my budget
allowed, I'd do it at least once a day!

When I was working, we'd try a new restaurant every week. There are so many in San Francisco, one never runs out.

My son is a pain about taking pictures..."no more blogging, mom" but, then, he relents and smiles nicely. Glad you liked the photos.
