Eddie and the Box - September 5, 2014

"Don't look at me that way!"

He seems to say to me.

A discarded cardboard box is just,

The perfect place I like to be!

I've room to give myself a bath,

And to keep intruders far away,

I can even hone and sharpen claws,

And nap comfortably throughout the day.

Six Word Friday - Free - July 4, 2014

Happy 4th of July

Photo thanks to Bing Images, domain free

This is a day of celebration,

Of flags, families, fireworks, and friends,

Free and brave, we owe much,

Whisper thanks as this day ends.

We often take liberty for granted,

But I feel blessed every day,

I was born in this country,

The best place of all - USA!

Six Word Friday - Circle - June 27, 2014

Matillija poppy - egg yolk circle center,

Large crinkly white crepe paper petals,

Tall blooms, waving in the wind,

Enticing buzzing visitors seeking nectar nirvana.

Six Word Fridays - No Ambulanza for Me - June 5, 2014

Give me bellinis at Harry's Bar,

Or tourists at St. Mark's Square,

Or a splishy splashy gondola ride,

But no ambulanza while I'm there!!
