I guess I'm hardy like this sturdy dandelion!
Five days in the hospital,
Really wiped me out,
That I’m feeling somewhat better,
There isn’t any doubt!
I’m still on wonder drugs,
To keep the bugs at bay,
Could be they sap my energy,
I so want to go and play!
I need computer time, for sure,
My blogging friends are such a cure.

If you would like to tell a tale in exactly 55 words, post it and go and tell Mr. G-Man
Illness is a bitch. Welcome back. My 55 is HERE .

That's a fun poem, but I don't do anything in 55 words or less. Explaining myself is complicated and wordy.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are feeling better and back to writing poems......:-) hugs
ReplyDeleteNice 55. Now relax and get well!

Monkey Man - Being a nurse makes being a patient
ReplyDeleteespecially hard! I must admit, though, they
were so nice to me at that hospital!
Dulce - I'm so glad to be approaching some
semblance of normal ( which is still far
from normal!). I still have a lot of
catching up to do on my blogs!
R.J. - you're funny. It's a challenge for me to
do this flash 55 - I, too, am quite a
talker.
Bernie - I'm definitely starting to feel better
but I hate talking these golf ball sized
pills - two of one antibiotic twice a day
and one of another twice a day - plus all
the other stuff that keeps me going in my
advancing years!
oh, I do understand about the need to go and play Carmen, I hope you will be able to do soon.

ReplyDeleteI'm pretty relaxed, sleeping too much, I think!
Thank heavens I have a comfortable bed.
betchai - it's a good thing Jo is busy most of the week...I don't have any playmates with free time. I'm going to try to go out to hear jazz on Sunday morning, though...I have a friend who sings at the brunch at the Burlingame Hyatt - I can sit at the musicians table and I don't even have to pay for brunch!
I hope your feeling better,
ReplyDeleteOur lovely Carmen Electric
Some may think your crazy,
You're just a tad eccentric.
Although you have been Ill'in
I see you're on the mend.

ReplyDeleteI love your poetry and humor. It always makes me
smile!
Ratty -
reading blogs is so much better than most of the books I have. I like the variety and individual personalities so much and I feel like I've gotten to know people to some extent!
Jingle -
I'm glad you are enjoying my efforts even though I'm a bit under the weather!
