Very beautiful, in Sweden they are called "Kalla". :)
This is the first time I've seen yellow calla lilies! They're equally beautiful with the whites!
This is more a comment on your overall status of losing your nursing job. I'm not sure what a forensic nurse does, but I recently learned about being a travel nurse and I thought I would pass that idea on to you.
What a refeshing promise of spring. Thank you for sharing such beauty. Please have a wonderful Tuesday.daily athens

Lovely, i´ve never seen yellow cala lilies befour.
Ann - I, also, see the white ones growing wild here. I've never even seen a yellow one before this!
magiceye - I, too, thought that yellow calla lilly was so beautiful. I kept going back into the kitchen all day to see it. She bought it at Home Depot. I guess I should go and buy one for myself!
Mickle in NZ - I had every intention of making that yogurt cake but got sidetracked and never did it...one of these days!We have the white calla lillies everywhere here as well, even growing wild. My friend tells me these yellow ones are very expensive!
Liss - these bright yellow calla lillies certainly do get one's attention. They are so cheerful!
siromade08 - Those yellow calla lillies were not mine but in a friend's flower box - I certainly did enjoy them, though!!
Tina - aren't those yellow callas spectacular?
Marites - oh, I didn't grow those yellow callas -they were in a window box at a wedding shower I attended. I was amazed at them, though - so beautiful!
Enchanted Oak - I didn't even know callas came in any color but white! So glad you liked Sony's "At Last" - send me your home address...one of these days, I'll send you her CD with "At Last" on it. I wanted her to sing it at Alex's wedding but she has gigs in L. A. that weekend - the DJ, however, is playing her version for my dance with my son.
Manang Kim - I was really astounded to see yellow calla lillies. I wonder if there are other colors.
Sue - my friend said she got these yellow calla lillies at Home Depot. Do they have those where you live?
Sue - I just looked up an incredible website,http://www.flowers.pacificcallas.com. I cannot believe all the colors there are of calla lillies. Of course, some of the more exotic ones are almost $10/bulb. The yellow ones are about $3.75 each with a minimum order of three.
Ji - I just spent the last thirty minutes reading up on calla lillies. I had no idea there were so many colors available!
Dhemz - I'm laughing about the weed. Here we are, trying to get rid of them but your precious sweetheart is bringing them to you with love. I just checked out a website with some calla lilly bulbs at $10 each - for sone exotic colors.
tinasphotoblog - here they are calla lillies - not much different from Sweden! I did a cruise once, visiting all the capitals of Scandinavia. What a beautiful journey into Stockholm!
Mirage - check out http://www.callalilyshop.pacificcallas.com - I had no idea that so many different colors of calla lillies existed. You'd have to be a millionaire, though, to plant a lot of assorted colors!
Lynn - at 65, having worked only in forensics ( I was a sexual assault nurse examiner, an expert in adult rape and child sexual assault cases ) for the last 21 years, any other avenue of nursing is pretty much closed to me. With recent experience in acute care or medical-surgical nursing, I couldn't qualify as a "traveler" - I'd almost have to go back to school and I'm not willing to do that!
ρομπερτ - those bright yellow callas and the flowering fruit trees, indeed, are such wonderful heralds of spring around here!
♥peachkins♥ - are you, by chance, a Georgia girl like me ( Columbus ) with that name?
Brian Miller - I am so glad I have that yellow calla photo - I am thinking I'm going to get an large print of it to frame...it will cheer me up all year long.
Irene - I love this picture myself, bright cheery yellow callas!
Eden - I was just enraptured with those yellow callas as well.
Carletta - I learned something new today when I looked up calla lillies! Check out: http://www.callalilyshop.pacificcallas.com - you will not believe the colors of calla lillies, even red!
Rajesh - I love these yellow calla - the white ones will never again seem as pretty to me!
Ji - glad you liked my yellow calla lillies!
Daniela - those were my first yellow callas, too - check this site out: http://www.callalilyshop.pacificcallas.com - look at all the incredible colors of callas there!
Love them! We gave some to my friend's SIL a couple of years ago, and she managed to keep them alive, even here in the north.
