Shadow Shot Sunday #156 - Laundry Day in Croatia - May 15, 2011

This seems the best way to do laundry throughout Europe!

I am participating in Shadow Shot Sunday!

  1. Hi ragione Carmen...
    ma ultimamente gli europei hanno smesso questa usanza di appendere i vestiti bagnati al sole... al giorno d'oggi sono soltanto gli extra-comunitari a farlo !
    Credo che questa immagine di noi europei sia veramente orribile !
    Buona serata :)

  2. Hi Carmen thanks for guiding me to your lovely blog. I like your photo for SSS but I particularly enjoyed seeing the ones of the newest memeber of the family. I too have just recently lost our fur-baby after 14 years. Gosh we miss her. I would love another dog but have the attitude that I hope a needy dog will find me, maybe that will work, maybe it won''t but I couldn't trust myself going to a shelter because I would bring them all home! Your babies are also adorable. I'll call back often!

    This picture was taken in Split, Croatia about three years ago. On that Mediterranean cruise - in Dubrovnik, Split, Florence, Portofino - we always saw laundry hanging out the window to dry.

    Thank you so much for your lovely visit. Kenzy isn't in my family through Chritine, the mother-in-law of my middle son certainy feels like family! I can't believe how lucky everyone has been with shelter dogs. They seem so wonderful.

  4. Thank you for validating my interest in laundry wherever I go! Mexico, Panama, Germany--it doesn't matter: laundry gets my attention. Apparently it does yours too!

    WONDERFUL NONSENSE

    A shadow’s a wonderful thing;
    O listen! Can you hear it sing?
    It tells of a time
    Before there was crime—
    Trust that and you’ll trust anything!

  6. I like it! If I lived in an apartment I'd find a way to hang the clothes out too.

    Somehow, laundry does fascinate me. I don't see that many laundromats when I'm traveling and I find it interesting hanging out the windows - especially in Venice!

    I think it's pretty handy, having those clotheslines hanging ot of the windows.
