Such wonderfully mellow shades of yellow, very pretty shades regardless of the individual flower's age. What a lovely time you must have had at the Botanic Gardens looking around at the beauty, and taking these shots to share. Many thanks, dear Carmen
Hey, Carmen, I was delighted to see that every flower is labeled, and more delighted still to see that every one of them was named after you. Love it...well, I guess YOU might have put the labels so that everyone would know they were your photos...Naw, that couldn't be it.
Irrendento Urbanita - Oh, Valery, Carmen Henesy is me, not the name of a flower. Sadly, I came across someone using my photographs without my permission so I've started putting my name on them!! Glad you liked my shots of flowers at San Francisco's Botannical Gardens.
Icy BC - Yes, that bee was pretty busy with the flower and I didn't really get a good focus on it. There were literally hundreds of bees out there that day!
Mickle in NZ - My friend, Jo, were at the Gardens about three hours that day. She goes several times a week and has a huge collection of photographs! She says new things are blooming all the time and she doesn't want to miss anything.
Ricepatty - I love all these yellow flowers and I have been adding more and more to my collection. They are so beautiful and cheery.
At 65, I've done it! My poetry book - Life's Journey by Carmen Henesy - is out on Amazon! ( Poems about the things that have been important to me in my journey through life, some humorous, some sad, some that may have meaning to you as well )
fini - Yellow flowers are my favorites - especially yellow roses ( with purple irises ). Too bad I rarely get them.
Manang Kim - Good thing we have the Botannical Gardens since the house I rent has minimal yard space and my budget no longer allows for plants and flowers!!

chubskulit - I think I've finally exhausted my collection of yellow flower photographs.
Rosadimaggio63 - Thanks for visiting me. Are you in Italy? I had the great pleasure of being in Rome for my last two birthdays ( 64 and 65 ), then did a Mediterranean cruise with stops in Venice and some other wonderful places.
Dulce - I love having you come by, any day of the week!
Stephanie V - You are brilliant! The centers of those flowers really do look like fiberoptics!
Ratty - I think nature must really like her yellow flowers, too. She really goes overboard with them.
imriz - You could do these pictures...just get a reasonably decent digital camera with macro capability. You don't need one in the thousand dollar range. I think mine was about $350 three years ago.
Snowbrush - You are too funny. I only recently began putting my name on my photos after someone ( a friend, I thought ) used some of my photos without asking my permission - I would have given them to her but, even for a friend, I expect to be asked ). What galled me is that she told a mutual friend she had taken them.
Sharkbytes - I really love those flower with the beautiful stamens, too. They would make neat earrings! They look like something you'd wear on a Caribbean cruise ship.
Marguerite - I love the Botannical Gardens. Don't get there too often but it's nice knowing they're only a few miles away...and the senior rate is only $5.
Retiredandcrazy - I never go anywhere anymore with my camera. Seems like I'm always seeing a flower I want to photograph...I've restrained myself from actually going into someone's yard.
eileeninmd - So nice to have you visit here...glad you liked the poetry and the pictures.
Ann - I wish I knew the name of that middle flower. Unfortunately, I didn't see a placard for it. I need to find out, though, because they are so pretty.
Cafeby JW - My few hours at the Botannical Gardens were wonderful...it seemed like every few steps I saw a flower nicer than the one before.
lina@home sweet home - All those yellow flowers are so cheerful and, since I don't have a green thumb, I think I'm going to put the photos up around my house.
The flower is really pretty. It shines, and the colors match San Francisco very much.
It is wonderful photography. . .
