Alphabe Thursday - Rainbow Green - It's Not Easy Being Green - August 19, 2010
Green is a special color,
That can help us feel more calm,
A color found in nature,
It's like a soothing balm.
It is the color of forests,
And also of jungle scenes,
And Ireland, the Emerald Isle,
Is full of incredible greens.
Green is the color of juicy limes,
And of leaping, jumping frogs,
And of other slithery critters,
That live in watery, smelly bogs
Spinach and peas are green,
And broccoli's green as well,
I'd rather eat Key Lime pie,
It's green and tastes so swell!

I've never made it to Idaho though I've traveled much of the world. It is a state I'd love to visit but not in the dead of winter!!

You remember the funniest things...that line you
quoted is hysterical, "Is green, eats flies, loves a pig" - it's been so long since my boys were Kermit fans, I'd forgotten it.

You should make a key lime pie yourself...it's so easy. I'm not sure you can find the small key limes in your area but you could probably subsitute regular limes and that sweetened condensed milk is so yummy!

Yes, I had read that green is the color of Islam...how are you, Mitesh. I was just watching the wedding video again the other day
and thinking of you and your kindness in making that for me.

It was harder writing a poem for "green" - as it's not my favorite color. Yellow and purple are easier!
secret agent woman -
Yes, green definitely is an important color - not my favorite, especially. I like hot pink
and purple!
