The Server Has Arrived

It's here - no scam - the real thing.  I haven't taken it out of the box yet, though.  Will open it tomorrow and start reading the manual!

My little server
Sits quietly on my desk
Serving peace of mind.

I think the above is the haiku that I wrote - that was written on a piece of paper I found on
my desk!

  1. Quite a powerful and nice server you have now, for free :) The only think I didn't like was the Celeron processor. Rest of all is just superb. One of the most impressive things is the 1TB HDD expandable upto 17TBs!

  2. Reading that list is making my mouth water. Since I'm more than a little bit of a computer geek, I understand every bit of it.

  5. What - it doesn't make a pot of tea or coffee too?

Do have fun getting it all up and running - hope you only need a low level of caffeine for techno survival.

    care and huggles, Michelle

  8. Sounds great but I think I would have to have a technical guy to put it together for me....although I do pretty well when I follow the manual.......:-) Hugs

  9. Oh my- That Greek slang of manuals I hate... but well if it is free...

  10. I'm Greek so I understand all of it. Now if it would only serve some Grey Goose, you're in business. Pretty cool Carmen. And, I love the haiku - actually a senryu but a good one.

  14. Bhavesh Chhatbar - I will be using it mainly to
back up my files and photos so I guess it
    will do all of that!

Ratty - I'm glad to see my win meets with your
    approval!

Icy BC - I still haven't opened the box. Need
to get my son downstairs, I think!

Z! - Kid I'm not at 65 but I have to agree with
you. Free gold wouldn't excite me at all!

Mickle in NZ - who knows, it might be a butler
as well...until I read that manual, I'm lost.

rainfiel61 - free to me, thankfully, but, at
over $500 in the stores, it's pretty pricy!

Donna - wish it could help me with my poetry
but it will store my poems. I lost a lot
of them when my computer crashed a couple
    of years ago.

Bernie - I like to rely on my son who is a
computer geek - but, when he was in Kuwait
with the Air Force a few years back, I
found I could manage, when forced to do so!

  15. Dulce - yes, the price was definitely right..
I'll force myself to pour over the manual
though I still need to re-read the one that
    came with my digital camera!

Poetic Shutterbug - yes, you Greek girl, you do
manage all these technical things pretty
well. Senryu - guess that company wasn't
on top of it, then, and I'm not up to date
    on my poetry!

maxivelasco - happy new year to you, too...it's
always nice to get something for nothing!

magiceye - i wish i'd win the lottery now!

Jenny - guess I will just have to clean my
plate so there aren't leftovers!! Thanks
    for stopping by!
