ReplyDeleteI was really impressed with these flowers. Wish I'd gotten the name, though.

I've never seen a flower so brilliant in color - sort of an orange red.
Maria @ LSS -
I'd never seen this flower before but there was a whole section of them in bloom at San Francisco's Botanical Garden
Irredento Urbanita -
It is a very passionate looking flower - I think! Nothing demure about it!

My header is the Matillija poppy which is native to California and Mexico. It's an amazing flower that grows to about five feet and the petals are like crinky crepe paper.
BINDLE MAMA -
I think I used to have a lipstick exactly that color red!
HOOTIN' ANNI -
ReplyDeleteI think it's a magnificent flower. I've never seen it anywhere outside the Botanical Garden. Looks like something you'd find in Hawaii or Puerto Rico!
Indrani -
You're absolutely right! It's the color of a tomato!
Sheila @ A Postcard a Day -
A whole bouquet of those would be really stunning!

Have you seen those exotic red flowers in India? They seem suitable for a Bollywood set!
Icy BC -
I'm doing better but having trouble walking on that left foot. My ankle is hurting like the dickens.
Ratty -
I think that little twirly thing is part of the beautiful exotic flower.

What's with us? The weather's been beautiful and we're not up to par! At least you managed to stay out of the hospital!

I'm glad you liked my beautiful red flower!

I wish I had a yard full of exotic blooms. I have none. Thankfully, we have a wonderful Botanical Garden!

I guess red is sexy...but, depending on who is wearing it, any color can be sexy! Right?

Even if you don't get here often, each time you stop by, you bring sunshine with you and always brighten my day!
