Shaggy Dog - June 18, 2011

Thursday afternoon, my friends, the Hollands, were in town to perform at the
Marin Art and Garden Center as part of the summer concert series.  It was a
spectacular day and there were quite a few people, children and dogs sprawled
on the lawn in front of the gazebo where Sony sang and Jerry accompanied her
on the guitar.

This shaggy dog got a great deal of attention from his two-legged companions
and he was very well behaved during the concert.

I am participating in Pet Pride and Camera Critters #167.
Check out the sites and join in the fun!

That is a truly fuzzy wuzzy, and very sweet looking. So glad you're better!

  2. Looks great.
    Absolutely delightful captures.

  3. Great pictures of a handsome dog. He looks like he has great focus. :)

  4. Fuzzy-wuzzy wuz a dog
And also was a camera hog!
    Fuzzy-wuzzy didn't care
'Cause he had friends and music there.

  5. That is one shaggy dog. Would take a lot of work to keep him looking pretty though.

  6. Cute dog. We used to have a gray version of that dog.

  7. Wonderful shots of the dog.

  8. Sounds like a great day! Love the cute shaggy dog. Great shots.

  9. Wonderful shots ...his coat looks glossy. Have a great week ahead.

This fellow was clearly adored by the children who own him. The were constantly giving him loves.

    Rek -
I wanted to pet him but he was too far from me and I was trying not to hobble too much on my bad ankle.

It was such a lovely day - nice to be outdoors, lovely music in a beautiful setting and I got to get some fresh vegetables, besides!

    Muza-chan -
That dog was delightfful, just one of several running around during my friend's performance. I thought he was the cutest, though, and he definitely had the most personality.

    secret agent woman -
I'd never seen an English sheep dog of that tan color...the ones I've seen were always gray and white. I think they are such pretty dogs but I imagine they require a good bit of grooming.

    Rajesh -
He's s nice dog though I think all that fur would be pretty hot in most of India!

  11. Faye Pekas -
Definitely, that shaggy dog needed brushing. I'd love to see his coat then!

    Indrani -
I loved that camera kept going back to him though there were several other pooches there.

  12. Jidhu Jose -
I'm not sure these English sheepdogs are that common in your part of the world...too hot a coat in summer. They aren't nearly so cute with their hair shaved.

  13. LivingSoAbundantly -
I wish I had been a bit closer to that dog. He was just so much fun to watch!

    Kay L. Davies -
Very cute poetic response, Kay. That English sheepdog won my heart, without a doubt!

  14. What a beautiful cute and hairy doggy!
