He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not - Flash 55 Friday, July 9, 2010
I wish I could be certain,
That your love for me is true,
I always feel this nagging doubt,
My insecurities break through.
I need constant reassurances,
I wish I weren't this way,
I guess I don't believe my luck,
That you're in my life to stay.
He loves me, or he loves me not?

for me atleast, it's never been easy to express feeling and that's what i admire about poets....you are good at this.... loved the poem....

ReplyDeleteI am so glad you like my poems. It's always been easier for me to express my thoughts and feelings throught this medium than to say them directly to someone.
cute and honest...love does need reassurance...and sometimes it is because we feel so lucky, sometimes because time has taken its toll and we want to know it is more than skin deep...an others just need loves assurance. nice 55.

He loves me for my own true worth,
And that is well,' said Lady Clare.

I think I have figured out why I like your poems so much. They are like wonderful short little songs. I'm a huge music lover, and I like certain short songs by Queen. Your poems seem similar to me, easy to understand but complicated where it counts.

I hadn't thought of it in those terms but you are absolutely right! Love does need feeding = sometimes, just a snack, other times a ten course meal!!!
