  15. These are excellent pictures. They give me extra satisfaction because I wanted to get a picture with a bee just like that one, but right at that moment the sky opened up and poured down rain. I was caught far from my truck in another rainstorm, so I never got my picture.

That bee was pretty far away, over a fence, so
    I couldn't get any closer.

    Tes -
That bee wasn't really moving much. I wonder if it might have been hurt or intoxicated! Or maybe just so intent on his work.

    Shiju Sugunan -
I've started keeping my camera with me all the time. You just don't know when you might have the opportunity for a good picture!

    Sharkbytes -
I love yellow so I was in my element in that field of daisies.

    Poetic Shutterbug -
I think I've used up all the shots from my daisy field so I'll have to move on to something else now. I do have all those wonderful orchids.

    Nikki-Ann -
I've never had a bee that still before. I was wondering if he might have died of happiness out there in that hot sun.

    mrsnesbitt -
Yellow daisies and the white ones are just about
my favorite flowers. They are so bright and cheery.

    Icy BC -
Usually bees are much more active than this one was. I couldn't get any closer, though, because there was a fence in the way.

    Ratty -
So glad you like the pictures. Sorry you missed your bee photo because of the rain. I have another one to post, this one in a poppy. It's fun to get them but I rarely do.

    alaine@éclectique -
Aren't the daisies bright and cheerful. Camera Critters are fun but I often have other memes I do on Saturday. I do try to get here from time to time.

    dulce -
I enjoy the picture taking. It is a nice break from poetry, on occasion, when my brain is weary of rhyming.

    sm -
Glad you liked the pictures. I just spent the
last three days in Sacramento with the newlyweds. They're off to Las Vegas for a long weekend next Thursday after Alex's calculus final, before his next classes start.

    Welshcakes Limoncello -
I'm always glad when you like my efforts!

    cat -
This bee wasn't very active. That daisy kept him enchanted, I guess.

    secret agent woman -
Usually, I can't keep up with bees, they are so
    busily flitting around!

    Iowa Gardening Woman -
That field of daisies had the blue Pacific beyond and just blew my mind!

  17. Dear Carmen,
Thank you for visiting my CameraCritters-post. It's been a long time since I have participated in CC, but since I had something very special to tell, I thought I could squeeze it in. And low and behold I find you here with bees! I am not a bug-photographer, but some of my blogging-jewellery-sisters do. Take a peek at Karen Stahlecker's insect-pics:

    http://willoaksstudio.blogspot.com/2010/06/to-bee-or-not-to-bee.html

if you haven't already seen them (She makes marvelous jewellery that I would love to be able to afford to order one day!)

    Best wishes,
    Anna
