I am not sure that the earth either begins or ends here but the whole province of Alberta is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been!

    Apryl -
I stayed overnight at Chateau Lake Louise here. It was so incredibly dark and, when we were standing outside that night, we saw a shooting star. It was such a magical place.

    Cindy -
I only spent one 24 hour period at Lake Louise, about 17 years ago, as part of a 5 day, whirlwind trip through Alberta, as a guest of the government. It was phenomenal. Sadly, I've never gotten back to Alberta.

    Jannie Funster -
I was only there at Lake Louise overnight, arriving in the afternoon and leaving after breakfast the following day. The lake is so breathtaking at all times of the day.

The province of Alberta is well worth a two week stay. It is beautiful from one end to the other. On the one and only trip I made there, I coverd from Waterton Lakes near the Montana border ( another spectacular spot ) to Lake Louise and Banff to the Badlands and the Royal Tyrell Dinosaur Museum to Edmonton and Calgary to all sorts of other spots.

I never made it back to Alberta but it is so beautiful there. So much to see and do.

    manuela -
Since you are in Canada, you really should see that province from one end to the other. It is spectacular!

    Indrani -
That area of Lake Louise - and the Canadian Rockies - is indescribably beautiful.

    Snowbrush -
I'm glad you like my photos. I didn't get nearly enough on my five day visit to Alberta many years ago. I've always wanted to go back there but, somehow, it didn't happen.

    Marias Teater -
I imagine the mountains of Alberta may be a little like Norway. Most of what I saw of Norway was from a cruise ship, other than the day we spent in Oslo.

    Cafe au lait -
Glad you liked my picture of Lake Louise.

Isn't Lake Louise lovely. The hotel, Chateau Lake Louise, looks right out on that beautiful view!
