Skywatch Friday, Season 4, Episode 34 - Another Rainy Day Ahead - March 4, 2011

Waterlogged, the grass is mush,
From days of more than ample rain,
And now we're told there's more to come,
I'd like to see the sun again!

At least it isn't ice and snow,
And flowers have begun to bloom,
Acacias, quince, and crocus, too,
Help eliminate the gloom!

Enough of showers, time for flowers!

I am participating in Skywatch Friday and Friday Flash 55 sponsored by that dashing Mr. G Man.
Check out both sites and join in the fun.

  8. The rain will become the nourishment of spring flowers. . .
All natural phenomena bring us happiness.
However, it may be often missed.

    Thank you for your visit.

    Good weekend

Before you know it, we'll be complaining about the heat!

Our reservoir is not quite overflowing but it looks like there will be no drought this summer!

    G-Man -
We've got lots of flowers and there is even an almond festival up near Sacramento next weekend, the trees are all in bloom!

What an honor to have a button on your blog. I love my hot air balloon! You're the sweetest!

I can hear it raining outside right now and it looks like there will be showers tomorrow. Oh, well, it'll probably be another Netflix day for me.

It's 54 degrees right now here in my San Francisco suburb with showers for the next 24 hours! I'm not doing anything this weekend anyway so I don't really mind.

I cannot believe I haven't been to the South now in over a year. It was early March when I was last in Atlanta, having admitted my mom to assisted living. She has no idea who my brother and me are but I am hoping to go visit sometime soon.

    Welshcakes Limoncello -
Glad you liked my poem. I haven't been writing very much of late. I need inspiration.

    Trotter -
Nice is definitely nice - and that whole area of France! Wish I were there right now!

    betchai -
I so miss traveling. Would love a trip anywhere...even somewhere in California. It was fun just on my overnight to Santa Cruz to see Sony Holland but I would love to go on a cruise! It's been a year.

    Joanna Jenkins -
I never carry an umbrella. I lose them every single time so I've given up on them.
