Shadow Shot Sunday #171 - Athens From The Acropolis - August 28, 2011

While going through thousand of old photos prior to my six month India stay and
move from the home I've occupied for thirteen years, I've come through quite a
few pictures I can use for various memes - plus I've had a wonderful time
recalling some wonderful trips to places about the globe.  It's almost as if  I
traveled there again - very restorative to my soul!!

What a nice reminder, that the sun seems not to know time, nor shadow, couting only the happy, sunny hours.

    Please have a good Tuesday.

  6. Snowbrush -
While Athens is a huge dirty metropolis, at times, places like the Acropolis - and the other ruins, cropping up all over the place in the midset of city buildings, are just so overwhelming.

I treasure those times I spent in Athens, reveling in the history of that city and being able to visit Delphi and wander for hours through the National Museum.

    Unknown Mami -
It's been wonderful going through those photos. I've discarded many...no need in keeping blurry ones and those with people whose names I know longer remember.

I like taking pictures through archways and have quite a collection of them.

Being up at the Acropolis and looking down at Athens is almost a religious experience.
