Wouldn't they look cute on the wall. The little switch would keep my grandson busy for an hour. He is fascinated with electrical switches, cross my fingers.
Josep - We agree, I think, I also like the night lights with the Chinese calligraphy! I didn't even go inside to price the little lights, though..maybe another time when I'm in Chinatown!
Ola - Those night lights are certainly nicer than the plain ones we so often see.
Self Sagacity - I imagine, if you have a Chinatown in San Jose, you might even find these little night lights there. I'm sure your little one might like one!
Icy BC - I can't believe I left Chinatown without buying one of those nightlights ( or two - or three! ).
Magical Mystical Teacher - Red does seem to be a favorite color among the Chinese - in nightlights, clothes, and all sorts of other things. Your poem, as always, is a delight.
Welshcakes Limoncello - I really found these little lights so cheerful and sweet - definitely a nice change from the usual night lights one sees!
Margie - As long as I've lived in the San Francisco area ( 33 years now ), I've never noticed these cute lights before. I don't get to Chinatown that often!
Pat @ Mille Fiori Favoriti - I know some little ones who would love these night lights but most of the boys I know want super hero ones, not the pretty lanterns or hello kitty type ( like your grandsons!! )- though there are a couple of cute little boy ones in that collection ( not that I should stereotype! ).
Indrani - In all the items in that crowded store window, these cute little night lights caught my eye. I thought of so many people for whom they'd make a nice little gift.
Sharkbytes - Since I left Chinatown without buying any of those nightlights, I've thought of so many folks that I'd like to give to them as stocking stuffers!
Sheila @ A Postcard a Day - These are night lights I wouldn't want to keep hidden out of sight, they are so cute. Of course, I have none!
R.J. - I'd like one for every room!
Joanna Jenkins - I have to go back to Chinatown before Christmas to stock up on these - if they aren't outrageously priced!
I like the red ones with a Chinese letter. For me, the most simple the better. My niece would disagree though, since there's a Hello Kitty there!
ReplyDeleteI just love the nightlights, they are so funny and colorful!
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting find. I like little things, and this is a fun sight to see. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThey are so pretty and whimsical, Carmen!
ReplyDeleteAny nightlight that has red in it is fine with me!
ReplyDeleteGIVE ME RED RIBBON
Give me red ribbon to tie in my hair,
Not yellow or purple or green;
But burgundy, chestnut, carmine or rose—
These are the colors with sheen!
Give me red ribbon to tie in my hair,
Not saffron or opal or blue;
But fuchsia, magenta, ruby or blush—
Something of sanguinous hue!
Give me red ribbon to tie in my hair,
Not indigo, azure or grey;
But scarlet, vermilion, dahlia or pink—
Colors like these make my day!
