  4. So many wonderful styles, Carmen, but I've always had a special fondness for the gingerbready Victorians. I love San Francisco.

    My Farmhouse Kitchen -
Good to see you, Kary and Teddy. I do wish you lived in the city. Then I might see you sometime! We could do lunch in North Beach.
The Blue Angels are performing today but I don't feel like getting out in all the crowds.

    Poetic Shutterbug -
You take one of the houses, I'll take another. Of course, we'll have to find some wealthy widower, I guess, and I'm afraid we don't frequent the right places! They aren't out looking for the bargain spots like we are!

    Elettra -
I know I am biased but I think San Francisco
is the prettiest ( and most European ) city in the U. S.

    Kay L.Davies -
I think we do have the most beautiful ( and
    brightly colored ) Victorians.

    Thom -
The houses are so interesting and varied. I love them and never tire of looking at them.

  11. Living in KY now, but we visited SF for our 10year anniversary this summer. I SO love the homes in SF -- wish I could afford one.

  12. Any house looks better on a hill, but SF really made it an art form.

  20. Hey there!

I think these houses look fantastic and pleasing to the eyes but I'm not the type of person who would be buying em! It's just that they look a bit 'closed' to me. I'd prefer large windows, sunlight streaming in and minimalist designs. They all look grand to me!

I think I'm more likely to live in the last photo. :P Great job showcasing these houses!

  21. That mansion/fortress on 24th Ave and West Clay is my favorite, although if that home were gifted to me, I could not afford the upkeep. So REGAL, so well flavored with European styles.

    And fine photos.

  24. I wouldn't mind some of these houses! The white one is the most unique. I like the old fashion Victorian yet, the newly renovated details are very becoming.
