Alphabe-Thursday - "F" is for Fabulous & Fantastic - October 28, 2010
Fabulous and fantastic pretty much describe our San Francisco Giants! Needless to
say, this city by the bay celebrated big time last night as its baseball team won Game 1
of the world series. I've never been a great baseball fan myself but, regardless, I always
support my home team and, like so many others, I sat glued to the t.v. set to watch the
opening game against the Texas Rangers. I can just imagine how exciting it must have
been to be among the crowds at AT & T Park at Willie Mays Plaza! Of course, there is
something to be said for being with your family at home, enjoying a dinner of Country
Captain ( an Indian chicken curry dish ) and Carmen's Caribbean Cocktails and not
having to wait in traffic to get home after the game.
Our Giants did the fans proud and we are hoping for another win tonight. We'll be right
there cheering you on.

GO GIANTS!!!
As a NoCal girl...I echo that...Go Giants! Unless you are playing the Padres, which you are not, because this is the world series, so Go Giants!
ReplyDeleteGo Giants! I'm actually more of a Colo Rockies fan but since we are not in the playoffs... I will root for your home team :) Good luck!
ReplyDeleteGo Giants! I watched that last game and it was a real thriller..
ReplyDeleteI hope they do well! I don't follow baseball, but they seem like a great team.
ReplyDeleteWe're all pretty excited here in the South Bay about the Giants, too.
ReplyDelete=D
Well good luck to them. Dang them beating the Rangers yesterday pffft. LOL. It's gonna be a great series :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for them!!
ReplyDeleteOne thing I have on my bucket list is seeing a game in AT&T Park. I never managed to get to one in Candlestick Park, so I don't want to go 0 for 2 in San Francisco.
I hear it's supposed to rain tonight. Hope the game goes well.
Good luck, Giants and Rangers!! May the best team win!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the SF Giants! I'm rooting for them to win since the Yankees didn't make the world series ;(
ReplyDeleteWell, ok, since the Yankees didn't make it, I'll root for your Giants.
ReplyDeleteHi just popped in from Jenny's . Sorry I don't share your enthusiasm for baseball .
ReplyDeleteshall support the giants just cause you do!! we love our cricket here!!
ReplyDeleteYour Giants are doing great! Another big win tonight.
ReplyDeleteWoo-hoo.
I'm more of a football fan than a baseball fan. But if I need to choose a team I will go for my Home team which is the Sea Dogs though they don't get to the championship. I just love them because they are from home.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to hav a home team to root for!
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my meager F-post.
My home computer finally decide to allow me to go online again after updating an antivirus program. So I have revised my F-post and would like to invite you to revisit it whenever you have the time and inclination.
Best wishes & hugs,
Anna
Anna's Alphabe-Thursday-F: REVISED!!!
We aren't big on crowds either. My husband went to Daytona Speedway once to watch a race.He said everyone stood up and he couldn't see a thing. So much better to watch the race from home, munching on your favorite race day foods.
ReplyDeleteAnd the sound makes me sleepy and I enjoy a long afternoon nap. I love staying home! Nice post!~Ames
ARRRRRRE YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU READDDDDDY FFFFFORRRRR SOMMMMMMMMMMMME FFFFFFFFFFFFFOOOOTBALLLLLL?
ReplyDeleteOh oops.
Ummm...
Never mind?
I meant baseball.
Really. I did.
I am the master of all sports. Because I always know baseball from football and that other one with the ball and the hoop.
Slinking away now in shame but not before I say...
Thank you for linking to Alphabe-Thursday.
I really enjoyed this post....
