Mellow Yellow Monday - San Francisco Tree - December 13, 2010

Mellow Yellow Monday - San Francisco Tree - December 13, 2010

During a drive up near Dolores Park, I spotted this pretty tree's yellow foliage, in spite
of the fact that it was a chilly December day.  The beautiful yellow leaves stood out in the
midst of all the bare trees around it.  From my perch high on a hill, I had a great view of
San Franicso!

  10. Consider my poetry book when you're Christmas shopping - Life's Journey by Carmen Henesy – it’s out on Amazon ( Poems about the things that have been important to me in my journey through life, some humorous, some sad, some that may have meaning to you as well ) I finally did it at the age of 65!

I'll have to drive back over that way to see how that little yellow tree is enduring the colder weather. No snow like the midwest and north are having, though!

Since our climate is so temperate, we're just now getting fall foliage changes. It's so nice to see it.

You are the one who really gets to see some spectacular sights. I'm mostly looking at big city buildings with an occasional treat to nature.

It is always so nice when city scenes are brightened by flowers and trees. We don't have enough in San Francisco though we do have a beautiful botanical garden.

Gray seems to really bring out that yellow foliage.

I was so glad to discover that lovely little street with its pretty houses and nice landscaping.

The house was really pretty, too - lots of glass to take in the San Francisco skyline.

I went back and checked out your spoons. So interesting and creatiive! Such simple things can really make such a nice picture. I'm just an amateur photograph - a nurse ( 45 years ) by profession!

It seems so funny, Joan - there you are, buried in snow, and I am still seeing yellow, red and orange leaves on the trees!

I'll have to go back that street to see if there are any nice spring blossoms!
