Weathered and Worn, Brenda Photo Challenge, 6-5-10

When one thinks of San Francisco, pictures of elegant Victorians, resplendent in colorful paint and fancy "gingerbread" come to mind, along with beautiful vistas of the bay and the Golden Gate Bridge.  To my surprise, one afternoon while driving around in an area known as "the
Sunset", I came across these weathered and worn sights that seem rather out of place here.

It looks like work has begun on remodeling!  At least, the door looks new.

Not too far away from the first house, I passed this place with the rusty car and horse trailer parked right out in the front and side yard.  The car looks like it hasn't run in years...as for the horse trailer??  Don't know where the horse could be - San Francisco houses are so close together, there is barely room outside for a dog!  This is, after all, a city street.
