The Eve Before Battle
He looked out at his armies,
Vast and mighty they,
Poised again for battle,
At the light of day.
The moon lit up the valley,
That soon would be blood red,
With thousands of young warriors,
No life for them ahead.
His beautiful black stallion,
Was restless in the night,
Perhaps the steed could sense,
This would be the final fight.
He prayed for God to guide him,
With his family shield held high,
Using swords of his forefathers,
He would give the battle cry!
