A dream of mine,
At last come true,
A book of poems,
Long overdue!
I never thought
I’d get it done,
But it moved along,
Once I’d begun.
A lifetime’s worth,
Of thoughts in rhyme,
Experiences gathered,
Over time.
Memories triggered,
As I wrote,
At times, a lump,
Felt in my throat.
Done at last!
Done at last!
