Last year's monsoon season, in Jaipur, was minimal but I got some delightful
shots of Vishu, my landlady's grandson, playing in the rain. I remember my delight,
as a child, in Columbus, Georgia, running in the rain showers, as long as there
were not tornado warnings out or streaks of chain lightning illuminating the sky.

ReplyDeleteThis young man was a source of many Jaipur photos and my constant companion to watch for peacocks returning to roost in the evenings. I miss him.

ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, Indrani. I was so envious of him, spashing in that rain. He was having such fun and I lived vicariously through him.

Those yellow blooms in the spring are so beautiful around here...though my allergies don't appreciate them!!!
Deletemonsoon time is so much fun
ReplyDeleteSadly, this past year, Jaipur's rainfall was very deficient...not good for the crops. We didn't see much rain during my time there but, when it did rain, wow!!
