  5. What captures my attention is that little palm tree that has different colors at the bottom. Such a great view. Happy Monday!

  8. ah, the 2nd one looks so tranquil Carmen, very inspiring. that palm in the first photo is very unique, I don't think I have seen one.

  10. Your photos look so pretty Carmen. It's nice to think of a warmer climate when it is so cold here! We are having a "hum dinger" of a winter!

  12. You like giving old texture to your photos, that makes them lovely.

Before I started traveling elsewhere, I visited the Caribbean about fifty times. I wasn't crazy about the heat but I loved the ocean!

    Rajesh -
I think that many spots in India, along the sea, must be like the Caribbean.

    abby jenkins -
Oh, do I ever love Bob Marley! There was no one like him and he died far too young!

    Gattina -
When the temperatures are around freezing, I think we'd all like a few days in the Caribbean!!

    Kim, USA -
I was wondering if something might be wrong with that fan palm because of the yellowing at the bottom.

    Mountain Woman -
Right now, with your part of the world in cold and snow, I'm sure this looks quite different!

These Caribbean scenes must remind you of Malaysia!!! Many of the same plants and flowers but, of course,no rainfield!!

    Sharkbytes -
That fan palm is very real but I wonder if it isn't ill...the others I saw were completely green, not yellowing at the bottom.

I know I haven't seen the fan palm in the U.S., not even in FL though there certainly could be some.

I think you probably deserve a warm weather vacation after all the snow you've been having.

Pat @ Mille Fiori Favoriti -
You definitely have had some miserable winter weather - and so has my brother in suburban
Atlanta. Luckily for him, he's no longer traveling for IBM but works from home. That made it much nicer during this recent snowstorm that kept the Atlanta schoolchildren home for five days!

I've been thinking about Bob Marley and a nice Caribbean cocktail ever since I read abby's comment!

I have been going through a lot of my older pictures - still can't find the professional photos taken at the Taj Mahal in 1997. I know I brought them home with me but they are missing somewhere!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and for your kind words. I hope you'll come back again.

Some of these pictures I've been posting are actually pretty old. I've been going through things because I have to move from the house I've rented for 13 years....this retirement income is just not enough to continue here. My rent is $2325 US - and my half pension is only $2300. I've gone through my entire savings in the two years since my job ended.

I do play around with some of the photos, partly because, in my previous house, we were on the very foggy, damp coast and, some of my photos got really messed up in the basement where they were stored.
