"Don't look at me that way!"
He seems to say to me.
A discarded cardboard box is just,
The perfect place I like to be!
I've room to give myself a bath,
And to keep intruders far away,
I can even hone and sharpen claws,
And nap comfortably throughout the day.

ReplyDeleteIt's funny...these cats prefer dry food and shark, which Rosy get daily from the fish market in the bazaar.
DeleteAwww, too cute and the poem is spot on. Yes indeed.
ReplyDeleteHave a purrfect Feline Friday. ☺
Nice to have you visit, Sandee. These Mumbai kitties, all rescued from the streets, are the cats meow. I am pretty allergic to cats but I have grown accustomed to these.
DeleteAww! cats just love boxes don't they heheh!
ReplyDeleteEddie likes anything - boxes, bags, trash cans. I've never seen a nosier cat. Of course, except for here, I've never spent time with felines.
DeleteWhat you are participating in not important,
ReplyDeleteI am having a nap now.
I guess those treks in the jungle do get a bit tiring. I hope you got a good rest, for your next journey into the world of mushrooms, insects and spirits.
DeleteKittys seem to love boxes & bags. Eddies is a handsome fellow.

Thanks for your visit. The three cats here are really lucky, saved from the streets by my friends who also go out every night to feeds strays in the neighborhood. They even paid to have several neutered.
Deletethey do like their boxes
ReplyDeleteI have gotten hundreds of interesting kitty photos during my months here in Mumbai.
Deleteyep- cats do like boxes to nap in! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteIt's been a whole new experience sharing a home with three cats. Eddie is the most interesting, with his antics, and I always have my camera at the ready.
DeleteOh you kitty is darling. Cats do seem to love boxes so much. It's so funny because they squeeze into the smallest boxes if they can. Thanks for visiting my blog. I had fun visiting yours.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, Ida...the smaller, the better it seems. I saw the cutest picture on the internet, of a leopard, at the zoo, in a box. I guess it's a cat thing, wild or tame.
DeletePurrfect lines for the theme. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Indrani. I've never been much for cats...probably because I'm allergic to them..and my friends, with whom I'm living, have these three. They all tolerate me but Eddie, because he is so inquisitive, is my favorite.
DeleteSuch a cute kittie! You don't need a castle to be happy!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, despite the monsoon rains.
The weekend was nice, though it did pour nonstop. I didn't really venture out, just read a good book by one of my favorite authors, Lisa See.
DeleteDanke für deinen Besuch bei mir und dem Beitrag zu Six Words .
ReplyDeleteDeine Fotos mit den Kätzchen sind ganz entzückend .
Liebe Grüße
Jutta

I guess I shouldn't rub it in but, even here in India, this San Franciscan was glad we beat the Cowboys. Thanks for visiting my blog.
DeleteI might just buy an asus when I need a new laptop. I hear they are good ones. However, my brother has worked for IBM for 25 years so I usually go Lenovo.
Purrrfect! (sorry, couldn't resist!) Thanks so much for linking up!
ReplyDeleteYou gave me a laugh, Adrienne. Thanks for visiting.
DeleteReally cute cat and nice poem!
ReplyDeleteGreetings, Pat....if they could read, I am sure my granddogs would not be happy to see a kitty post. I miss them and little Harper, too, here in India.
ReplyDeleteHehehe - it is amazing how cats always find such confined and unusual spaces, isn't it?! They are very lovable creatures.
ReplyDeleteYep, cats love a good box. They are so easy to please... sometimes.
