Rarely a day passes that I don't think of my two favorite places -
Barcelona and India. Today, for some reason, since breakfast, I've been
remembering my paella feasts in Barcelona!

Well that's a true paella! You know what, it's not difficult to cook — unless you are hopeless at kitchen, like me. Did they serve small paellas for each person? I'm sure this one was even more tasty than the huge paellas I'm used to see. We eat paella very often, mostly at weekends as it is a festive meal, accompanied with a salad — onion, olives... It's a must, that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteLooks tasty, what is in it?

I was about twelve years of age, when first tasted that food while making holidays with my parents. Starting to read as well. A memory impossible to forget, thank you for reminding.
ReplyDeletePaella is one of my favorite too. I just missed this dish. ^_^

What is that think that looks like a worm?
ReplyDeleteThat looks really sumptuous!
ReplyDeletePlease come and take a peek at my Mellow Yellow, have a lovely evening.
I would not mind of a plateful of your delicious looking paella! :-)

ReplyDeleteThis restaurant was nice in that they did serve individual paellas. Most places we visited in Spain did not. This one was very tasty, too! I don't think I've had paella since I was in Barcelona though there are a few restaurants in San Francisco that have it.

I will drop by your Mellow Yellow before I go to bed. As usual, I'm very late in getting back there!

No worms in my paella, just lots of seafood. Perhaps it was the big crawfish you were talking about!

My paella was mostly seafood of all kinds though I think it might have had some chicken it - as well as the peas and some other vegetables.

Isn't it funny what special memories we have of special times around food with those we love.

I don't think paella is really all that difficult to make, yet I've never given it a try. I really should one of these days!
Looks like a yummy dish to me! The mussels are what I like most..
ReplyDeleteThat does look tempting. Yum.
ReplyDeleteIndia and Barcelona..... two favourite places and extremely different!
