The falls were spectacular - and a bit scary!

    HOOTIN' ANNI -
These falls were very nice but my favorites, thus far, were Iguazu, on the Argentinian - Brazilian border.

    Indrani -
I was very happy with these pictures, considering I was totally terrified taking the pictures!

    chubskulit -
Switzerland is filled with the most breathtaking scenery.

    John -
I enjoyed reliving that Swiss trip when I was posting these photos.

    Luna Miranda -
The tree in the header is an acacia. They were blooming everywhere last month but they are almost completely devoid of blossoms now, thanks to all the rain we've been having. They murder for hay fever sufferers.

    Josep -
Switzerland should NOT be missed - and it isn't that far from you. I was so blessd, in 1995, at a forensic conference in San Francisco, to make a friend who is a forensic toxicologist at the Institute of Legal Medicine in Bern. He stayed the weekend after in SF and I showed him about. A few months later, a girlfriend and visited he and his wife in Bern, then that summer, his son, Henri, came and stayed a month with us - same age as my Jeremy and they became great friends. Henri came again for a month the
next year. I went back again with two more
friends, then Jeremy went with a college friend.
Isn't it funny how friendships start.

Anyway, I've taken the train about Switzerland and it is such a clean, beautiful, fairytale country. Absolutely incredible mountain scenery. Do go. Wonderful white wines, too.

    Sharkbytes -
Waterfalls are such beautiful wonders. I've seen some amazing ones in my travels.

    magiceye -
You will have to direct me to Indian waterfalls when I finally get there!

    Vinni -
I knew there had to be wonderful waterfalls in India!

    Susie Kline -
You should visit Switzerland. It is such a beauiful country!

Oregon Gifts of Comfort and Joy -
I agree with you, a fall would have been fatal and it was scary enough just getting those shots!

My son made me so nervous, laying down and hanging over the enbankment for a photo! I thought he wouldn't survive to finish his senior year of college!
